Local Support in Northeast US

We are pleased to introduce, Russ Frazier, as our new Northeast Service Technician. Russ has over 15 years of pulp and paper experience in a variety of technical support and service positions with Voith, Valmet, and Metso Automation systems.

Russ will provide field service and Preventative Maintenance activities as well as assist in installations and demonstrations of new Technidyne products.  He lives in this area and will be able to respond more quickly to customers.

Prior to joining Technidyne, Russ worked as a specialist with PaperTech on their high speed camera systems. Some duties included installation, start up, auditing, and maintenance.

Previous work experience includes over 15 years with Voith, Metso, and Valmet’s Automation systems. His duties included installation, start up and training on new equipment. He also participated in audits and optimization of the on-line gauging systems, improving paper grades. Russ was also responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the gauging systems, periodic reporting on the QCS results and uptime, along with maintenance and repair of PCs. These gauging systems included Color/Brightness measurement, which exposed Russ to the Technidyne Color Touch in order to “hitch” the on-line gauge to a standard bench top instrument.

Russ is a former member of the U.S. Air Force with 69 semester hours from the Community College of the Air Force, Electronic Technology. He has extensive training in measurement systems, on line gauging/control systems, and networking.
